Charleston, South Carolina, a magical city filled with cobblestone streets, gas lanterns and window boxes on every home. As a wedding photographer in New Hampshire, the winters are generally pretty slow, which is why I decided to fly south for the winter, exploring all of charleston’s beauty and charm!
I was lucky enough to meet Morgan and Blake and photograph them while I was there…it might be one of my favorite sessions I’ve ever done! We spent an hour walking around, but I swear you could spend an entire day walking up and down all of the little side streets. The architecture is stunning, and the way the light trickles in through the trees during sunset is an added bonus. While downtown Charleston on any given weekend is bustling with tourists, we met up on a Tuesday evening in hopes to avoid the crowds, although you can’t really blame the locals for walking around on a warm night. What I love most about photographing in downtown Charleston is that you can walk and talk, and then shoot as you go. You don’t have to go looking for the perfect location, there’s potential everywhere, and every spot has magic.
